Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor hits PS5 and Switch on October 7, with an expansion on the way
Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games are bringing the auto-shooter spin-off to PS5, Switch and Switch 2 on October 7. They also announced the Knockout Expansion, which adds a Brawler class and a new biome.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is finishing its platform rollout. Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games announced at the Big Break Showcase that the auto-shooter arrives on PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 7.
Catching up
Survivor takes Deep Rock Galactic's dwarves and caves and turns them into a single-player survivor-like where you pick a class, dig, and let the weapons fire themselves while hordes close in. It went into Early Access on PC in February 2024, hit 1.0 on PC and Xbox Series in September 2025, and came to iOS and Android that November. PlayStation and Nintendo are the last pieces.
The Knockout Expansion
Alongside the console date, the studios announced the Knockout Expansion. It adds a Brawler class, a Sandblasted Corridors biome, and a high-risk mission with new objectives and a boss fight, with the overall pitch being closer, more tactical engagements than the game's usual keep-your-distance rhythm.
No release date has been given for the expansion, and no price has been announced for either the expansion or the console versions.
Why it matters
Survivor has quietly become one of the better entries in a crowded genre, and Switch in particular is a natural fit for a game built around short, repeatable runs.
Why it matters
It brings a well-regarded survivor-like to handhelds where the format works best, and the Knockout Expansion is the first sign of substantial post-1.0 content.
