EA says it will not rush gameplay changes to FC 27, even the ones players are shouting about
EA's gameplay team has listed four things it is watching in FC 27 - fullbacks, kick-off goals, interceptions and low driven shots - while promising not to patch the feel of the game early. A separate PC post admits to stutters and crashes.

A week into EA Sports FC 27, EA has published two developer posts on the same day: one from the gameplay team and one specific to PC. The gameplay one is mostly a promise to do nothing.
Watching, not patching
EA says the loudest piece of feedback it took from last year was that players wanted time to learn the game before title updates started changing how it feels. The team says it is taking that to heart and will be "very measured" about touching core gameplay, and it is explicit that an item appearing on its watch list does not mean a change is coming.
Four things are on that list. Fullbacks dropping too early and breaking the defensive line drew the largest volume of complaints, and EA says it is investigating a fix without committing to shipping one. Goals from kick-off are happening more often, with what EA calls early movement in the data. On interceptions, the team says rewarding manual defending is the design goal and it is happy with that, but concedes players using low-defence cards may be intercepting more than they should. On shooting, EA has heard that low driven shots toward the near post are too strong, and says it is broadly happy with the shooting and goalkeeping balance.
The one area EA does say it is actively working on is fouls, including reports of referees giving the wrong outcome after certain challenges.
The PC side is less relaxed
The PC post is a different tone. EA acknowledges reports of frame-rate drops, micro-stutters and instability in cutscenes and stadium sequences, particularly around set pieces, plus players getting stuck in The Grounds hub. Title Update 1.0.1 has already shipped crash fixes, and EA says it is investigating stuttering, input delay and frame-rate instability across a range of hardware, naming two specific culprits: performance degradation with Cloth Quality set to Medium, and frame-rate limit settings failing to apply after switching monitors.
A set of PC-specific fixes is targeted at a late October update, covering mouse camera tuning, unresponsive mouse controls in Be a Goalie, persistent vibration on Xbox Elite Series controllers and a flashing FUT match intro screen. EA has also said it will host a gameplay Q&A on the official FC Discord, with a date to be announced.
Why it matters
FC's early-season patches routinely rewrite how the game plays, and EA publicly committing to hold off is a direct answer to one of the community's longest-running complaints.
