Players of Gears of War: E-Day reported disconnects and login issues on Sunday. According to VGC, Eurogamer and Kotaku, developer The Coalition says the cause was DDoS attacks, where servers are deliberately flooded with traffic.

What the studio said

Kotaku reports the botnet assault took place on Sunday and that The Coalition says it is on top of the situation now.

Why it matters

If you were kicked out or could not log in to the new Gears, this explains why, and that the problems were an attack rather than a bug in the game.
