Game Informer's issue 382 puts Grand Theft Auto VI on the cover, with a 14-page feature built on interviews with Rockstar staff and a dozen new screenshots. Outlets including Push Square, Pure Xbox and Vice have summarised what it reveals.

What the story reports

Weather has been rebuilt to be more localised and persistent, so different parts of the map can have different conditions at once. Tropical storms and hurricanes are part of it, alongside dynamic cloudscapes. Rockstar hasn't said how often storms occur or whether they affect missions.

Wildlife is a big focus: more than 170 species, including over 60 bird types and 30-plus land mammals such as manatees, flamingos and alligators, with fur and feather that react to the environment.

Per Pure Xbox's summary, six-star wanted levels return with a new Heat system in which police build information from your appearance and location at a crime scene, so changing how you look matters when evading capture.

Vice's rundown also lists activities such as kayaking, scuba diving, mini golf, jet skiing and billiards, some of which act as dates for Jason and Lucia. The map is described as twice the size of GTA 5's, with six main regions.

Release

Grand Theft Auto VI is due November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
