Limbus Company's new chapter shipped with a bug that can stall a battle outright
Project Moon's October 1 update added The Shadowed and a known-issues notice to go with it. The worst entry stops battle progression under certain conditions, and the hotfix schedule hasn't been set.

Project Moon pushed Limbus Company's October 1 scheduled update live and, a few hours later, published a notice listing what it already knows is broken. Four issues are named, and the studio says it will keep adding to the list as more are found.
What's broken
The one that actually stops you playing is in The Shadowed, the update's new content: under certain circumstances, battle progression becomes impossible. Project Moon does not describe the trigger, so there is no workaround to pass on yet.
The other three are cosmetic or presentational. Also in The Shadowed, part of one unit's name is incorrectly formatted as a Keyword and renders as "UNKNOWN". Elsewhere there are text errors introduced by the update, and some voice lines and subtitles either do not match each other or do not play at all.
No hotfix date has been given. The studio says it will post again once the schedule is finalised, and apologises for the inconvenience.
The difficulty question is still open
The notice also restates the position Project Moon took on September 24 about difficulty: it intends to watch how people actually play for a while before lowering the difficulty of anything it decides needs adjusting. That is a deliberate wait rather than a promise.
One piece of housekeeping landed alongside it. Two new limited packages going on sale on October 1, the Target Extraction Pack and the Identity Growth Pack, will now close four hours earlier than first announced - 06:00 rather than 10:00 KST on October 15.
Why it matters
Limbus Company was the fifth most-played game on Steam on October 1, which is what a big story update looks like in the numbers. A progression-blocking bug in the new chapter is the worst possible timing for that, and the lack of a hotfix date is the part worth watching.
Why it matters
A bug that can make a battle unfinishable lands in the exact content hundreds of thousands of players logged in for, and Project Moon has not said when it will be fixed.
