Neighbors: Suburban Warfare left early access by going free
Invisible Walls launched the 1.0 version of its house-wrecking multiplayer brawler on September 29 for PS5, Xbox Series and PC — and dropped the price to nothing on the way out of early access.

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is out of early access. Invisible Walls released the full version on September 29 across PS5, Xbox Series and PC, and made the jump alongside a change most early-access graduations do not make: the game is now free-to-play.
From paid early access to free
The Steam page now lists Neighbors as free, with the 1.0 release dated September 29. According to Gematsu, it spent its early-access run at $9.99, a stretch that started back in April 2025. Anyone who paid during that period is, in effect, an early backer of a game everyone else now gets for nothing.
What you actually do
It is a team brawler about property damage. Two sets of neighbours try to demolish each other's houses with whatever the suburbs provide — frying pans, slingshots, traps and gadgets — while defending their own. Playable characters include Doreen, a grandmother who fights with boxing gloves, and Kevin, who brings a slingshot.
Gematsu lists four modes at launch: Destruction, the core race to flatten the rival house; Brawl, which drops the houses and leaves the fighting; Prop Hunt, the familiar hide-as-furniture game; and Robot Invasion, a co-op defence mode against waves of machines.
Why it matters
Going free at 1.0 is a gamble on player numbers over revenue, and for a small multiplayer game that lives or dies on full lobbies, it is the difference between a launch and a ghost town.
