Hello Games has announced that No Man's Sky is coming to iOS on October 28, with versions for both the iPhone and iPad, according to Gematsu and The Verge.

What was reported

Kotaku reports the mobile version has been reduced to about 3.8GB, and that the only compromise it saw is the loss of multiplayer. Eurogamer says the port is partly thanks to the work Hello Games has done on its next game, Light No Fire.

Why it matters

It brings one of the biggest space exploration games to phones and tablets, with a firm launch date two weeks away.
