Pokémon Pokopia's new physical edition puts the game and all its DLC on one card, but only in Asia

A combined Pokémon Pokopia + Expansion Pass package arrives October 29 in Japan, South Korea and Asia for 13,380 yen, bundling the base game and all three DLC parts on a single Game-Key Card. No Western release has been announced.

The Pokémon Company is putting Pokémon Pokopia and its paid expansion into one box. The Pokopia + Expansion Pass package is scheduled for October 29 in Japan, South Korea and the wider Asia region, priced at 13,380 yen including tax in Japan and 127,900 won in South Korea. Japanese pre-orders open today, October 1; South Korean pre-orders follow on October 15.

What's on the card

The appeal is simple: the base game and the Expansion Pass sit on a single Game-Key Card, so there is no separate DLC purchase to make afterwards. Expansion Pass content released after October 29 is said to download automatically with the game's updates. Buyers also get a code for a Berry Furniture set - a berry chair, bed, table and lamp.

The Expansion Pass itself costs 4,400 yen and runs in three parts, according to its official site: Part 1, Bubbly Basin, arrived on August 5, Part 2 is down for winter 2026 and Part 3 for 2027. That means the 13,380 yen asking price covers content that doesn't exist yet.

Not just Pokopia

The same October 29 date brings a Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension card, which does get a Western release. Pokopia's combined package has not been announced for North America or Europe, where the game and its pass remain separate purchases. Pokopia, a slow-life sandbox in which you play a Ditto building a town from nothing, was Nintendo's first Game-Key Card release, and that hasn't changed here.

Why it matters

It is the cleanest way to buy Pokopia, and it is pointedly not coming west - another instance of Japan getting the tidy physical edition while everyone else buys the game and the DLC separately.
