Thailand takes PUBG Mobile gold at the Asian Games, its first medal in the event
Thailand won the PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version event in Aichi-Nagoya with 128 points, finishing ahead of China and Pakistan. It is the country's first podium finish in PUBG Mobile at the Games.

Thailand has won gold in PUBG Mobile at the 2026 Asian Games. According to Inven Global, the team finished the PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version event on 128 points across 12 matches, with China taking silver and Pakistan holding on to bronze by five points over Indonesia and Vietnam.
How it was won
Twelve national teams played across Erangel and Miramar over two days at the Games' esports venue in Aichi-Nagoya. Thailand led going into the final day after the first six matches and sealed it with a match win and eleven eliminations in game eight, then held the top of the table through the remaining games.
Jordan produced the single loudest performance of the event without medalling, winning match nine with twelve eliminations.
Why it counts
This is the second time PUBG Mobile has been a medal event at the Asian Games, after its debut at Hangzhou in 2022, and Thailand's first podium in the title there. Medal esports at a continental multi-sport games still carries weight that circuit tournaments do not: players compete under national federations, and the results land in the official medal table alongside judo and soft tennis.
The esports programme in Aichi-Nagoya runs through early October, with League of Legends among the titles still to be decided.
Why it matters
Asian Games medals are the closest esports gets to conventional national sport, and a first gold for Thailand in a title China had been expected to take is the kind of result that moves funding and attention in the region.
