Both Remothered games are getting Unreal Engine 5 remasters, free for people who bought the originals
Stormind Games is rebuilding Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain in Unreal Engine 5 for a Q1 2027 launch. Anyone who bought a digital copy of an original gets the remaster free for the first week.

Stormind Games has put a window on its two Remothered remasters. Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered are both due in the first quarter of 2027, and the studio marked the news with a fresh trailer showing Felton House rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.
The free upgrade, and its catch
For the first seven days after launch, Stormind says anyone who bought a digital copy of the corresponding original will get the remastered edition at no cost. The offer is explicitly limited to purchases: players who picked either game up in a giveaway do not qualify.
Studio CEO and co-founder Antonio Cannata framed it as a thank-you. "Those who purchased and supported the first two games directly contributed to the growth of the series," he said, calling the upgrade "a concrete thank you for the support we've received over time." The seven-day limit means it is a launch-window offer rather than a permanent one.
What the remasters change
Stormind says the move to Unreal Engine 5 brings Lumen dynamic global illumination and a rebuilt lighting model with dynamic shadows, higher-resolution environment models and textures, upgraded character models that keep the original art direction, cinematics cleaned up to modern standards, and redesigned menus and UI.
The studio is careful to call this a higher-quality version of the original chapter rather than a reinvention, saying the aim was to improve clarity, atmosphere and visual consistency without losing the tone. Both remasters are headed to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG and the Microsoft Store.
Why it matters
Remothered's first two games are cult psychological horror with a small, loyal following, and a week-long free upgrade is a generous way to bring that audience along rather than charging them twice.
