Satisfactory's first paid expansion, Core Values, is sending factories underground
Coffee Stain announced Core Values at its Big Break Showcase: the factory builder's first paid DLC, built around an underground expedition with new biomes, buildings and creatures. There's no release date yet.

Coffee Stain Studios has announced Core Values, the first paid expansion for Satisfactory. It was revealed during the Big Break Showcase on September 29 alongside a teaser trailer, and the Steam page is already up.
What happened
Core Values takes the factory builder underground. Coffee Stain's own description has pioneers reaching "into the crust of MASSAGE 2(A-B)b in a different setting with new resources, flora, fauna and more," building out an underground factory network with fresh production lines and buildings.
The announced package covers a new narrative, new factory buildings, new creatures and new biomes. The teaser also introduces a friendly-looking feline, which Coffee Stain has so far declined to explain.
No date, no price
The Steam listing carries a release date of "to be announced" and no price. It's set for PS5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Humble Store. Coffee Stain has said the base game keeps getting its regular free updates while Core Values is in development.
Why it matters
Satisfactory left Early Access last year after a long run of free content drops, and this is the first time the studio has asked players to pay for more. Going subterranean is also a genuine change of shape for a game built almost entirely around building outward across an open surface map.
Why it matters
Satisfactory has been free-update-only since launch, so its first paid DLC sets the template for how Coffee Stain plans to support the game long term.
