TMNT: Splintered Fate has sold 1.5 million copies, 2.6 million counting DLC

Super Evil Megacorp says its Turtles roguelike has passed 1.5 million base-game sales, with combined base and DLC purchases above 2.6 million. More free and paid updates are on the way.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate has crossed 1.5 million copies sold, developer Super Evil Megacorp has announced. Counting DLC alongside the base game, total purchases are past 2.6 million.

The trajectory

The studio said it passed one million copies earlier this year, so the roguelike has added roughly half a million more in the months since — a steady climb rather than a launch spike, which is unusual for a licensed game and reflects how long Splintered Fate has stayed in active development.

That development has been substantial. The game has picked up new playable characters as paid DLC and a run of free story content, including the King's Gambit update in August that added a new campaign chapter, levels and a final boss at no cost. The DLC figure — more than a million purchases on top of the base game — suggests a decent share of owners have bought into that pipeline.

What's next

Super Evil Megacorp says it has "a ton of exciting updates (both free and premium) in the pipeline for everyone who dares to challenge Shredder and the Rat King," without naming any. To mark the milestone it has teamed up with Sega on a Steam bundle pairing Splintered Fate with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, knocking an extra 10% off whatever discounts the two games already carry.

Splintered Fate is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Why it matters

Licensed roguelikes rarely get years of post-launch support, and these numbers are the case for why Super Evil Megacorp keeps making it.
