Valheim is getting concerts and a comic book, plus content Iron Gate won't describe yet
In its first developer update since 1.0, Iron Gate teased Valheim concerts in Stockholm and Paris next year, confirmed a comic book adaptation, and said more content updates are coming - without saying what they are.

Iron Gate has posted its first "Word from the Devs" since Valheim left early access, and it is less a patch note than a list of things happening to Valheim that are not Valheim. Concerts, a comic book, merchandise - and a promise of more game content that the studio pointedly refuses to describe.
Concerts in Stockholm and Paris
The studio confirmed it has teased live Valheim concerts for next year, one in Stockholm and one in Paris, with tickets and additional cities to be announced later. Anyone who wants first notice is being pushed toward a mailing list rather than a ticket page, so there is no date or venue yet.
The tenth realm on the page
Valheim is also becoming a comic book next year. Iron Gate says it has "an absolutely incredible team" working on bringing the tenth realm to print, with sneak peeks and a sign-up link already on the game's website. No publisher, writer or artist was named in the post.
What about the actual game
Iron Gate says more content updates are coming but will not say what: "exactly what that content will be, we can't reveal just yet." In the meantime the studio has been shipping bug-fix and balance patches - three in the two weeks before this post, covering terrain glitches in the Deep North, achievements that would not unlock, and Switch 2 and PS5 fixes - and says that will continue.
There is also a small housekeeping note buried at the end: Word from the Devs is no longer a monthly fixture now that 1.0 is out. Iron Gate will post when it has news instead. For a studio that used the format to manage expectations through years of early access, dropping the schedule is a mild signal in itself.
Also mentioned
Valheim has picked up three Golden Joystick nominations - Best Multiplayer Game, Best Indie Game and PC Game of the Year - with voting open until October 23. On the merchandise side there is a second Heroic Replicas Kickstarter running with a Valkyrie blanket and another shot at a shield replica, three new Cantrip Candles scents themed on the Meadows, Mistlands and Deep North, and a limited-edition hoodie with Makeship.
Why it matters
Iron Gate spent five years telling players to be patient about content; now that 1.0 has landed, the first thing it has to show is a merchandise and licensing slate, with the next update still unnamed.
