A Brazilian rating briefly listed WoW: Forever on consoles before someone changed it to PC
World of Warcraft: Forever was recorded with Brazil's classification body on September 28 alongside PlayStation, Xbox and Switch entries, which were then reduced to PC only. Blizzard has not announced a console version.

World of Warcraft has been rumoured to be coming to consoles for most of its 22 years, and the rumour has picked up again off the back of a government form.
What is being reported
According to coverage of the entry, Brazil's Ministry of Justice classification portal recorded World of Warcraft: Forever with a 14+ rating and a September 28 publication date. The platform field initially named a spread of consoles, reported as three generations of PlayStation hardware, the Nintendo Switch and the last two Xbox generations. That field was later changed to list personal computers only.
That edit is the whole story, and it cuts both ways. Brazilian ratings have exposed unannounced games before, but they have also been wrong about this exact subject: World of Warcraft turned up in a Brazilian Xbox Series X listing in July 2020, and Blizzard said afterwards it had been added in error.
The controller support does not settle it
The reason the listing landed on fertile ground is BlizzCon, where Blizzard announced official gamepad support for WoW: Forever with a playable alpha on the show floor. Asked about it, Blizzard framed the feature as a fit for Forever's slower combat rather than a stepping stone, and declined to comment on console ports. Developers have said in the past that consoles remain a recurring internal conversation, particularly since Microsoft's acquisition, but that is a long way from a plan.
Where that leaves it
Controller support is shipping. A console version is not announced, and the one piece of paperwork pointing at it has since been amended to say the opposite.
Why it matters
A console WoW would be the biggest structural change the game has had, and controller support removes the most obvious technical objection. But a ratings-board field that got edited is evidence of very little, and it is worth saying so before it becomes received wisdom.
