Wuthering Waves 3.7 adds two Electro five-stars and finally lets you replay the old story

Version 3.7, Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, brings Hsin and Suoming, a new Mengzhou region built around six Hearts, and a Replay Mode for the game's earliest main quests.

Kuro Games has shipped Wuthering Waves version 3.7, Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination. The headline pulls are two new five-star Resonators, but the change most likely to matter long-term is a Replay Mode for story content players can currently never see again.

New Resonators and weapons

Hsin is a five-star Electro Rectifier user, available through the As Full as Tonight, Forever Featured Resonator Convene. Suoming is a five-star Electro sword user, on the Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart banner. Each arrives alongside a matching five-star weapon: the Blooming Jadehaven rectifier and the Unspoken Rue sword.

A region made of hearts

The new area is the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, and it is unusually segmented: the Heartscape Labyrinth plus Heart of Flames, Heart of Frost, Heart of Bloom, Heart of Stillness, Heart of Ruin and Heart of Appearance. You reach it during the new Main Quest, Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart, which also unlocks a new quest type - a Tales Quest called Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing. Five named Echoes land with it, plus an unnamed new COST 4 Echo, three new Sonata Effects and two new Tacet Fields inside the region.

The quality-of-life list

Kuro has added Echo Stack storage, a 3D display mode for lineups, camera improvements and Echo recommendations split by Resonance Mode. Replay Mode covers the main quests of versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 to start with. A tiered client resource download option, letting you pick which graphics-quality assets to pull down, is going out as a limited test. Separately, Kuro has told Steam players that from version 3.8 the game's Steam download will be replaced by its own Official Launcher to enable those tiered downloads and pre-loading; clients installed through Steam before that switch default to the HD package in 3.7.

Why it matters

Replayable main quests are a structural fix rather than a patch note. Live-service RPGs routinely lock their story behind one-time events, and Wuthering Waves closing Chapter IV's Xuanfang material while opening its oldest chapters back up is the kind of change that decides whether new players can catch up at all.

Why it matters

Adding a Replay Mode for old main quests addresses one of the structural problems with live-service story games: content that new players can never reach.
